UKIP is a Eurosceptic, far-right populist political party in the United Kingdom. It enjoyed its high point in the mid-2010s, when it briefly had two MPs, both joining via defections, and became the largest UK party in the European Parliament. In the years that followed it steadily lost relevance and slipped into fringe politics. As of 2026, the party is led by Nick Tenconi, the COO of Turning Point UK, and he has pushed UKIP in a Christian nationalist direction.
