Bill Barratt, elected as a Reform UK councillor in May 2025, was expelled from the party in October 2025 alongside Robert Ford. The party accused those removed of undermining it through criticism of what they described as its "toxic" and "incompetent" leadership, and he was among those suspended over a leaked video of a council leader. Some subsequent coverage reported that he joined the Conservatives after his removal. Reform UK has not published the findings of any disciplinary process.
