Linda Holt, Reform UK's candidate for North East Fife in the 2026 Holyrood elections, withdrew on 27 March 2026 citing "a lack of support from the party." Past social media posts resurfaced in which she called former First Minister Humza Yousaf a "grandstanding Islamist moron," referred to him as "a brown FM" and "not British," and claimed that asylum seekers posed a "higher sexual risk" to women than Scottish-born men. In her statement, Holt said: "Due to a lack of support from the party, I am withdrawing my candidacy for Reform with immediate effect."
