Reform UK's Holyrood candidate for Dundee City West, Stuart Niven, was suspended less than 24 hours after the party's Scottish candidate list was announced on 20 March 2026. The Herald revealed that Niven had been disqualified as a company director for seven years after diverting tens of thousands of pounds from a taxpayer-backed Covid Bounce Back Loan into his personal account while serving as director of Britannia Maritime Security Ltd, a Glasgow-based shipping security firm. Scotland leader Malcolm Offord said the party had "spent a lot of time on vetting" but suspended Niven "pending further investigation." No replacement has been named.
