Jay Cooper, a Reform UK candidate, publicly described the Holocaust as a "hoax" and "propaganda", explicitly claiming there were not even six million Jewish people in Europe at the time of the Nazi genocide. Holocaust denial is one of the most well-documented forms of antisemitism and is treated as a criminal offence in a number of European jurisdictions. The posts were surfaced in HOPE not hate's 30 April 2026 report "60 Reasons (and Counting) to Not Vote Reform on May 7th". Reform UK retained him for the 7 May 2026 elections despite claiming its vetting was "the best in the country".
