Tanya Brasted quit Reform after being sacked from cabinet over missing Christmas ball funds

Tanya Brasted left Reform UK in September 2026 after being removed from North East Lincolnshire Council's cabinet. Council leader Oliver Freeston said questions had arisen over the finances of a Reform Christmas Ball she organised: "We were told it had made a profit, then later that there was none." He alleged she tried to stop the investigation and conspired to secretly record a private group meeting. Brasted categorically rejected all the allegations and said she had nothing to hide.
