Edward Hill was elected as the Reform UK councillor for Pinhoe and Mincinglake in Devon in May 2025. He was expelled from the party in July 2025 after publishing a letter about free school meals in the name of all Reform UK councillors in Devon without their consent. Hill said he had been removed for attempting to uphold principles of "accountability, responsibility and honesty", and he later joined Advance UK. Reform UK did not publish a detailed account of its decision.
