Phil Tierney is the Reform UK candidate for the Chelmsley Wood ward in Solihull. He has shared and reposted material on X that explicitly endorses far‑right activist Tommy Robinson, including signing a petition urging the Government to "halt the political persecution of Tommy Robinson" and referring to him as "Sir Tommy." The same social media activity, as reported in national outlets, includes a post in July 2025 saying "I am Islamophobic," a repost that stated "no communist or Muslim should be allowed to hold any office," a description of Islam as a "plague on this wonderful earth," and calls for mosques in the UK to be closed. He also shared a video where Robinson made "the case to ban all Islamic immigration" and asked Robinson to hold a rally to "show our King the people have had enough." Other social media posts attributed to Tierney and circulating on local social platforms include comments about Ramadan (references to bacon and sausage), climate change denial, references to Enoch Powell, calls to ban the Palestinian flag, commentary about sharia law and halal food, and advocacy for withdrawing support for Ukraine. Reform has said it is "thoroughly investigating these allegations," and Mr Tierney has declined to comment.
