Emma Kate Clatworthy shared Covid conspiracy claims and called the Queen a fraud

Category: social media conduct

Emma Kate Clatworthy posted messages on Telegram promoting Covid-19 conspiracy theories, including claims that people cannot catch a virus, that vaccines can kill, and references to the Rothschilds. She also wrote that the monarch "is not our Queen" and described the late Queen as "a fraud", saying the system needed to be "taken down" and the monarchy overthrown. The statements contradict public health guidance, with NHS information stating COVID-19 spreads very easily through close contact, and the Rothschild reference echoes antisemitic tropes. Hope Not Hate's Director of Research Joe Mulhall said Clatworthy has a history of voicing dangerous conspiracy theories and criticised her selection; Clatworthy said the posts were from several years earlier while she was exploring ideas and that she stepped away from those spaces, and Reform declined to comment.
