Councillor Chris Large reportedly quit as Reform UK group leader and as cabinet member for finance shortly after being chosen to lead the party’s group on Staffordshire County Council, with his resignation attributed to a "family bereavement". Questions were raised after allegedly racist activity was seen on a TikTok account bearing his name, an account Mr Large said he was not responsible for because "a number of people had access to the account", which has since been deleted. He is no longer a member of the Reform group and is currently sitting as an independent councillor, and neither he nor Reform UK have responded to requests to explain his departure from the group.
