Reform UK confirmed on 23 September 2026 that Cllr Bradley Thompson had been suspended from the party "following several serious and well-documented allegations of misconduct". He represents Clacton West and St Osyth on Essex County Council and West Clacton & Jaywick Sands on Tendring District Council, and is reported to no longer represent Reform UK on either council. The nature of the allegations has not been disclosed and Cllr Thompson had been approached for comment at the time of reporting. A suspension is not a finding of wrongdoing. He was the second Essex Reform UK councillor suspended within six days, following Cllr Christopher Perera.
