Paul Taylor, a Reform UK candidate, posted anti-Muslim content on Facebook, including a statement declaring "Great Britain not an Islamic colony". Beneath a public advert for a Muslim candidate he endorsed a comment reading "would never vote for anyone who is not British to the bone", explicitly applying a racial/religious loyalty test to who is entitled to seek office. The posts were surfaced in HOPE not hate's 30 April 2026 report "60 Reasons (and Counting) to Not Vote Reform on May 7th". Reform UK stood him for the 7 May 2026 elections despite claiming its vetting was "the best in the country".
