Councillor Jason Townend arrested after pub brawl

Jason Townend was arrested by police after a fight involving several men and women at a pub on Manchester Road in Bradford, during which a woman in her 40s sustained facial injuries. West Yorkshire Police attended the scene and arrested other individuals in connection with the incident while enquiries continued. Townend is a councillor for the Wibsey and Odsal ward on Bradford Council. A Reform UK Bradford spokesperson said Townend was subsequently released without charges, but police investigations are ongoing and he remains on police bail.
