Daniel Taylor was elected as the Reform UK councillor for Cliftonville in Kent in May 2025 and was suspended by the party soon afterwards amid misconduct allegations, after which he sat as an independent. The sentence disqualified him from serving as a councillor and his seat was vacated. Reform UK had already withdrawn its support before the case concluded.
