Brandon Dodd, elected as Reform UK''s first councillor in the Vale of Glamorgan in a September 2025 by-election for the Illtyd ward in Barry, defected to Restore Britain in April 2026. In a letter to residents he said Reform UK had lost its way. He continues to represent the ward under his new affiliation. Reform UK has not published a detailed response.
