Robert Edward Jenrick (born 9 January 1982) is a British politician and sitting Member of Parliament for Newark. In January 2026, he was sacked from the Conservative shadow cabinet by Kemi Badenoch after evidence emerged of a secret plot to defect, and joined Reform UK the same day. He subsequently became Reform UK's Shadow Chancellor. He previously served as Shadow Secretary of State for Justice (2024-2026), Minister of State for Immigration (2022-2023), and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government (2019-2021). Born in Wolverhampton, Jenrick attended St John's College, Cambridge, followed by the University of Pennsylvania. He was elected as MP for Newark at the 2014 by-election.
