Chris Green - Former MP (Defected) | Reform Watch

Christopher Green served as the Member of Parliament for Bolton West from 2015 until 2024, during which time he was re-elected in both 2017 and 2019, increasing his majority and vote share. He held the position of Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Department for Education and later to the Leader of the House of Lords, but resigned in October 2020 due to disagreements with the government's coronavirus restrictions. Following his electoral defeat in 2024, Green defected from the Conservative Party to Reform UK in December 2025. He was also a member of the COVID Recovery Group, which opposed the government's lockdown measures.
