Patrick Benham-Crosswell was a long-standing Reform UK member from the Brexit Party era who was placed on the Gwyr Abertawe (Swansea West) list for the 2026 Senedd elections. He resigned from the party entirely around 28 March 2026, accusing Reform of betrayal of early members' vision, parachuting outsiders into constituencies, and losing its original values. He described the party as having "sunk deep into the sewer" and criticised the selection process as "increasingly dictatorial."
