Adam Mitula, a Reform UK activist who served as an interim campaign manager in the Tameside area, was suspended as a party member pending investigation after social media posts were highlighted by the anti‑racism group Hope Not Hate. Posts cited by outlets included his use of the N-word, a statement that he would “never touch a Jewish woman”, an apparent agreement with a Holocaust denier that the number of Jewish people murdered by the Nazis had been exaggerated, and a claim that “60-70%” of transgender people were paedophiles. Despite the suspension, a notice of election document shows Mitula has been named as election agent for three Reform candidates, Aron Webb, Audra Murray and Daniel Bennett, for Tameside wards at the 7 May local elections. Mitula said the comments had been “taken out of context” and “actually defended the Jewish community”, and Reform UK said its disciplinary process is confidential and would not be commented on further.
