Mark Warters is a City of York councillor for Osbaldwick and Derwent, previously an independent. He joined Restore Britain in March 2026 and told the Local Democracy Reporting Service he saw nothing wrong with comments by senior party figures calling for a British identity based on native ancestry and the deportation of millions of people, saying the party offered "a real alternative".
