James Glen, Reform UK's candidate for Edinburgh North Western in the 2026 Holyrood elections, withdrew on 28 March 2026 in solidarity with his partner Linda Holt. Glen also revealed he had provided months of free web-development work for the party, only to have his messages ignored by the Scottish organiser. In his statement on X, Glen wrote: "I have withdrawn my candidacy for Reform UK. I fully support Linda in her decision and the reasons behind it." He added: "They were happy to take my months of web development work for free though."
